I was born in Torino, Italy, in the early seventies. I grew up, went to school and college there, then I moved to Trieste, Italy, where my husband was studying for his PhD. In 2005 we came to the US, and settled in Baltimore, MD, where we happily lived for sixteen years with our two daughters and a cat named Felix, prior to relocate in 2021 to New York City.
Thanks to my parents' passion for travel, my relocation from Europe to the US and my university background, I have always been fascinated by international relations, human rights, as well as human geography and migrations. I also love to communicate, possibly in many languages.
This is probably why, a few years ago, I became interested into photographing people and places, and then began sorting and collecting practical info or stories from our past trips. What started as a pure hobby inspired me to share a written and visual account - in one single tool - of our experience in traveling in the US, my native Italy and other foreign countries.
The idea of this website bloomed from all of this.
